MAT (Management Aptitude Test) Conducted by AIMA
Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a National Entrance Test conducted by All India Management Aptitude Testing Service (AIMATS), for admission to MBA and equivalent programmes of the various participating institutes. AIMA-MAT is conducted 4 times a year: in February, May, September and December. The list of institutes that use the AIMA-MAT results varies from test to test.
AIMA MAT exam is held in two formats. Candidates have option for taking MAT either as paper based or computer based test.

Candidates should be graduates in any discipline. Final year students of Graduate Courses can also apply.

MAT Exam Pattern
The duration of the exam is 2 hours and 30 minutes. There are five sections - Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skills, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning and Indian and Global Environment. However, the scores are given on the basis of the first four sections only. The general difficulty level of the exam remains to be easy to moderate. The total marks are 800. However, the scores of the Indian and Global Environment, or the General Knowledge section are not considered by the B-schools. Generally, the cut offs of the exam ranges for 500 and more score which is 50 percentile and above.

XAT (Xavier’s Aptitude Test) Conducted by XLRI Jamshedpur
XLRI (Xavier Labor Relations Institute) Admission Test or XAT also known as the Xavier's Admission Test is a National level exam conducted by XLRI as a first step entrance test for management education. On the basis of XAT result, eligible candidates are short listed and called for Group Discussion, Essay and Personal Interview (GDPI). There are more than 70 Management Institutes who select students based on XAT.

XAT Eligibility
Candidates are required to have acquired a Bachelor's degree under 10+2+3 system from a recognized university or a deemed university. Those completing their final examination may also apply.
XAT Pattern
The numbers of sections in XAT are three. They are Data Interpretation & Quantitative Ability, Analytical Reasoning & Decision Making and Verbal & Logical Ability. Each question has five choices. Total time given is 120 minutes.
After the objective test, there is an essay of 20 minutes.
SNAP Test (Symbiosis National Aptitude Test) Conducted by Symbiosis University
Symbiosis National Aptitude (SNAP) Test is a common written test for admission to all Post-Graduate Institutes of Symbiosis International (Deemed University). In addition, a candidate has to undergo the selection process of the desired institute to qualify for the admission to the Post-Graduate programmes of that institute.

SNAP Test Duration: 120 minutes
SNAP Test is an objective test. Each question has 4 responses out of which one is correct. Each wrong answer attracts 25% negative marks.

RMAT (Rajasthan Management Aptitude Test) conducted by MLVTEC, Bhilwara
RMAT is conducted in the month of May. Forms are available in the month of March and registrations close in the month of April. The score is accepted by management colleges in Rajasthan. IBSAT (ICFAI Business School Aptitude Test) Conducted by ICFAI University
IBSAT is conducted in the month of December. It consists of multiple choice questions and is for 2 hours duration. It is aimed to test the applicant's ability in quantitative techniques, data interpretation, data adequacy, vocabulary, analytical reasoning and reading comprehension. CMAT (Comman Management Admission Test)
All India council for Technical Education (AICTE) will conduct the Common Management Admissions Test (CMAT) 2012 as an entrance test for admission to 4,000 colleges that offer MBA and 500 colleges which run postgraduate diploma in management programs. CMAT will be a computer-based test (CBT). A candidate will read the questions on a computer terminal and choose an answer by clicking on the correct option.

CMAT Exam Pattern
There will be four sections in the test. The sections are
(a) Logical Reasoning
(b) Verbal Ability / Language Comprehension
(c) Numerical Ability + Data Interpretation
(d) General Awareness
There will be 25 questions in each section. Each question is of 4 marks. The duration of test will be 180 minutes. There will be negative marking for wrong answers. 1 mark will be deducted for wrong attempt
IIFT (Indian Institute of Foreign Trade)

IIFT Eligibility
Candidates should have completed Bachelor’s Degree of minimum three years duration in any discipline. Candidates appearing for a qualifying exam can also apply provided they can submit the proof of requisite qualification by October 7, 2012.
There is no age limit to apply.
IIFT Exam Pattern
IIFT test has different marks for each section, sectional cutoff, GK section and less time as compared to number of questions. The duration of the test is 2 hours and test is a multiple choice objective type.
Number of questions: IIFT 2008 had 150 questions (6 sections). Number of questions decreased in IIFT 2009 to 122 (4 sections). IIFT 2010 had 135 questions (4 sections). IIFT 2011 had 120 questions divided into 6 sections.
The written test is followed by Essay Writing, Group Discussion and Personal Interviews DPI).
